Small town along the old route to bavaria, reported in 1327. Gothic parish church of St. Thomas ftom the 14th century. Early baroque town hall with a tall decorated gable, built 1684, old Jewish cemetery. South of the town a 36m high stone dam for a reservoir was built in 1969.
